About Us

  • Douglas Havens

    Owner and CEO of Havens Hideout Ranch, Doug has over 40 years of experience riding and training horses. He grew up on a cattle ranch working cows and horses since he was a young boy. He has worked many rodeos growing up which turned into a passion for training horses. He is part of the Wild Mustang training incentive program through BLM (Bureau of Land Management) and has trained over 10 horses through this program. He began this business to introduce the East to the West and share his love for horses and the Cowboy lifestyle with the residents of PA.

  • Chase Havens

    Chase grew up riding and training horses, he has helped train wild mustangs and he excels in horsemanship. He is the right hand man (son) to Doug in the ranch and an avid fisherman.

  • Autumn Havens

    Autumn and Doug have been married for over 20 years. She is the administrator who takes care of all the behind the scenes business and keeps the ranch running!

  • Cowgirl

    Cowgirl is 26 year old Quarter horse Arabian mare. Cowgirl was gifted to Doug by a good friend in Colorado and made the journey out to Pennsylvania in 2017.

  • Storm

    Storm is a 10-year-old Mustang gelding who was adopted from The Wild Mustang Program in 2019. Storm went from running wild in Devil’s Garden, NV to being a completely trained trail horse.

  • Hidalgo

    Hidalgo is a 10 year old Quarter Horse Paint gelding. He came to the ranch from State College in 2021 and has been excelling at trail rides. He is also a great horse for children.

  • Walter

    Walter is a 17 year old quarter horse from a ranch in Tulsa, OK. He absolutely loves attention and is very friendly!

  • Chance

    We would like to remember Chance, he was one of the founding horses of Havens Hideout Ranch.

  • Max

    Max is our beloved ranch dog that goes on all the trail rides with us!
